And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Eddie Malingo!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Nice jab there from Malingo.
Malingo has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Rex is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Malingo misses with a jab to the body
and Rex counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Eddie Malingo has been cut.
Malingo scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Rex bucks up and tries to throw Malingo off but instead Malingo has got his back!
Malingo somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Rex covering up well under a barage of strikes.
Malingo is cranking Rex's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Rex! He's tightened the choke and Rex is tapping out!

Eddie Malingo decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
