Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Loren Mercado (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Remo Street (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Remo Street will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Loren Mercado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Remo Street!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Francis DeMontford and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Street decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Street thows a huge punch but Mercado dodges it nicely.
Street perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Mercado wants to get back to his feet.
Street slows the pace down in half guard.

Street seems to be looking for submissions.
Mercado is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Street should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Mercado is pressing down on Street's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Mercado wants to stand and escape but Street is having none of it.
Mercado wants to sweep here but Street controlling him for the moment.
Street must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Mercado will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well Street has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
