The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ireland shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Fatu as he avoids it easily.
Fatu lands with a nice combination. Ireland backs away looking to recover.
Fatu cracks Ireland with an open hand slap.
Fatu fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Ireland looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Fatu moves into range and connects with a jab.

Ireland shoots in and bounces Fatu off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Fatu manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Fatu gets through Ireland's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Ireland fails to pull guard.
Fatu tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ireland's elbow.
Ireland is trying to maintain a safe position but Fatu gets an underhook and turns Ireland into the cage.

Fatu breaks from the clinch.
Fatu jabs Ireland to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Fatu lands a lovely overhand right.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fatu lands a body shot.
Fatu fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ireland on the side of the head.
Fatu throws a series of punches but Ireland avoids them all with ease.
Fatu connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Ireland swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Fatu.
Fatu lands a slapping body shot.
Fatu jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

Ireland is rocked!
Fatu dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ireland is still on wobbly legs! Can Fatu finish him?
Ireland looks winded!
Ireland gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Fatu points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Ireland wakes up just in time to hear Fatu thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
