Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Rodger Nash!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Wayne Bishop!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bishop shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bishop was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Bishop trying to control the action but Nash is working from the bottom.
Nash gets back to half guard.
Nash really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Nash is holding on to half guard well.
Nash is looking to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bishop tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Nash is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Bishop pulls his head out easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bishop is controlling the pace.

Bishop is looking for a kimura but Nash is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Bishop to get the leverage.
Nash has hold of Bishop's hands but Bishop slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nash actively working from the bottom here.
Nash has a hand on Bishop's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bishop takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Bishop landing strikes from the mount and Nash is in trouble!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Nash is trying desperately to improve position.
Nash tries to hold on but Bishop pushes him away.
The referee warns Nash that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Bishop looking to control but Nash is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Bishop postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Nash looks a forlorn figure.


Nash is rocked!
Bishop postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Nash in real trouble here! The ref calls for Nash to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Wayne Bishop!
A very excited looking Wayne Bishop made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
