The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Dean's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Dean fails with the takedown.
Dean lands a two punch combo.
Grena throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Dean tries to land a front kick but Grena steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Dean wants to clinch up but Grena keeps it at a distance.
Grena throws a lazy head kick
and Dean counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Grena misses with a head kick.
Grena lands a nice looking body shot.
Dean looks winded!

Grena wants to pass the guard but Dean is keeping the position.

Grena works over Dean with some ground and pound from guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Grena lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Grena passes Dean's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dean has hold of Grena's hands but Grena slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Grena slips a nice elbow through Dean's hands, connecting with Dean's forehead.
Dean is still in real trouble! Can Grena finish him?
Grena is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Dean defends it well.
Grena uses his free foot to push down on Dean's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dean.
Dean seems to have recovered his senses.
Dean is in a horrible position here. Grena smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Grena scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Dean?

The referee warns Dean that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Grena has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Grena lands a big shot to the head and Dean winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
