PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joey Jacobs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Drake Basket Case (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Basket Case has chosen Crazy as his entrance music. Drake Basket Case told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Basket Case closes the distance and clinches up with Jacobs, looking for a takedown. Basket Case pushes Jacobs against the cage but Jacobs circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Jacobs throws a right and a left that both miss.
Basket Case throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jacobs's waist but Jacobs gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Basket Case off to one side.
Jacobs is looking to counter the offense by Basket Case and move into the clinch.
Jacobs thows a leg kick but Basket Case checks it

and Basket Case counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs tries to kick Basket Case off but Basket Case keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jacobs tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Basket Case has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Basket Case looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Basket Case trying to control but Jacobs is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Basket Case is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Jacobs might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Jacobs is trying to stand but he's just given Basket Case his back.

Jacobs is trying to get back to his feet but Basket Case has full control of the position and if anything, Jacobs has just worked his way into a worse spot.
