Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Peter Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ravi Shankoli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shankoli is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Ravi Shankar - Om Shiva. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Parker!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ravi Shankoli!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, William Gold and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parker clinches up against the cage.

Shankoli lands with a kick to the temple. Parker shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A punch lands to the side of Shankoli 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Parker tries to clinch up but Shankoli circles away and keeps his distance.

Parker moves into the clinch successfully.
Parker tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Parker tries a body shot but Shankoli blocks it.
Shankoli lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Shankoli pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Parker jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Parker tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Parker takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shankoli swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Parker clinches up with Shankoli and pushes him back against the cage.

Shankoli breaks the clinch.
Shankoli ducks under a wild hook from Parker.

Parker throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Shankoli, right into the meat.

The fight stays on the outside here - Parker looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Parker rushes Shankoli and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Shankoli counters with a series of strikes. Parker will be more careful next time no doubt.

Parker clobbers Shankoli with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Parker fails with an attempt to clinch.

Shankoli gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Shankoli blocks a jab.

and Shankoli counters with a three punch combo that has Parker backing up. Parker nods at Shankoli to acknowledge the strikes.
Parker looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Parker darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Parker paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Shankoli cracks the inside of Parker's front leg.

Shankoli throws out a counter right but Parker avoids it with no problem.
Parker throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Shankoli unleashes a big counter combination but Parker bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Parker misses with a straight right.
Parker throws a body punch but Shankoli moves out of range.
Shankoli throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Parker.
Shankoli avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Parker tries to clinch up but Shankoli circles away and keeps his distance.
Shankoli is looking for the big counter here.
Shankoli gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Shankoli connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Parker throws a shot from downtown. Shankoli moves away and avoids it.

Parker closes the distance and clinches.
Shankoli wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

That was a close round but I would say that Peter Parker will probably get the nod.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Parker tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Shankoli manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Shankoli lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Parker has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Parker and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Shankoli lands with a nice combination. Parker backs away looking to recover.
Shankoli takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Shankoli is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Shankoli moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Parker tries to close the distance and clinch but Shankoli swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Shankoli lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Parker backs up against the cage.
Parker misses with a double jab.
Shankoli connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Shankoli throws the left hand but Parker avoids the punch easily.
Parker tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shankoli swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shankoli connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Parker swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Parker misses with a body punch.
Parker takes a shot to the head.
Shankoli is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.

Shankoli breaks from the clinch.
Parker's corner calls for a 1-2. Parker obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ravi Shankoli showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Parker is rocked!
A solid body kick from Shankoli.
A chopping leg kick lands by Shankoli.
Shankoli lands a lovely overhand right.
Oh Parker is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Parker looks up at the clock. Bad move! Shankoli lands a right hand from hell, dropping Parker. Shankoli pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ravi Shankoli!

Ravi Shankoli looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'His spirit was strong, but my intention was to crush him. Psychologically, as well as physically with my boxing. I knew that he would be a willing opponent, and he showed heart, but my soul wanted this more! I feel strongly against animal violence, but in this case taking the hammer to the panda wa'.
