And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Corwin Anstey!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kruger on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kruger scores with a nice strike.
Kruger seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Anstey missing with a left hand there. Kruger was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Anstey tests Kruger's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Anstey ducks under a wild hook from Kruger.
Kruger moves away from the strike by Anstey.
Anstey waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kruger.
Kruger throws a low kick but it's checked well by Anstey.
Kruger throws out a powerful jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice body punch from Anstey.
Anstey misses with a looping right.
Anstey dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Anstey ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kruger moves away.
Kruger looks to score with a jab to the body but Anstey is just out of range.
Kruger swats away the attempt to clinch by Anstey.

Anstey lands a left and a right that send Kruger crashing to the mat, dazed. Anstey thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


It looks like Dustin Kruger has been cut.
Anstey takes one on the button.
Kruger looks for the body kick but Anstey saw that one coming.
Kruger misses with a low kick.
Kruger looks to throw the jab but Anstey is out of range.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Anstey lunges at Kruger with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Kruger's hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kruger takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Anstey takes one to the chin there.
Anstey punishes Kruger's body with a nice straight punch.
Anstey blocks the body kick.
Anstey moves out of range of the leg kick from Kruger.
Kruger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Anstey misses with a straight right.
Kruger misses with a hook to the body

and Anstey counters with a nice right hand that sends Kruger toppling to the canvas! Kruger scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Anstey finish him?!
Kruger ducks under a wild hook from Anstey.
A quick step to the side and Kruger tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Anstey forces Kruger back against the cage and clinches.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Anstey jerks Kruger's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Kruger drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Anstey goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Anstey because Kruger was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:13 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knee). Corwin Anstey!
An out of breath Corwin Anstey thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
In defeat, Dustin Kruger stepped up to the mic, saying 'Shape is a legend. Thank you for the lesson.'.
