Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stan Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wal Vrinz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stan Evans!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wal Vrinz!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Evans gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

so Vrinz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Evans trying to keep a closed guard but Vrinz is proving a slippery customer.
Evans thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Evans looking for a sweep. Not yet Evans, not yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vrinz postures up.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Evans fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vrinz sprawls well initially but Evans persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vrinz regains full guard. Nicely done.
Evans won't allow Vrinz to sweep him here.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vrinz can do anything to dispel that myth.
Vrinz is controlling Evans's posture.
Vrinz wants to sweep here but Evans controlling him for the moment.
Evans throwing strikes but missing.

Evans avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Evans accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Evans has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Evans stops Vrinz from standing up.
Vrinz has momentary wrist control but Evans slips an elbow through the middle.
Vrinz throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Evans postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Evans throws a big right hand that misses.

Vrinz clinches.

Evans ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Evans no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Evans wants to sweep but no luck.
Evans pulls Vrinz in close to his closed guard and prevents Vrinz from doing any damage or advancing position.
Evans trying to keep a closed guard but Vrinz is proving a slippery customer.
Vrinz sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Evans could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Evans is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Vrinz trying to stand up but can't free himself from Evans's guard.
Evans doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Vrinz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Vrinz closes the distance and clinches.
Vrinz scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Vrinz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Vrinz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Vrinz is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Evans rolls with it to try and escape but Vrinz cranks on the arm and Evans is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
