Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zachariah Sutton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Whittaker!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Whittaker shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Sutton tries to sprawl but Whittaker drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Sutton pushes Whittaker off and gets back to his feet.
Whittaker misses with an uppercut. Sutton saw that one coming.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Sutton looking for a takedown.
Whittaker can't get the takedown.
Sutton tries to pull guard but Whittaker won't allow it.
Sutton is trying to break free.
Sutton jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Whittaker walks away with a smile on his face. Sutton gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Zachariah Sutton. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sutton avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Sutton appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Sutton takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


It looks like Zachariah Sutton has been cut.

Sutton has closed the distance and engaged Whittaker in a clinch.
Whittaker is trying to pull guard but Sutton has him pressed against the cage.
Sutton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sutton breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Whittaker tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Sutton wants to clinch up but Whittaker keeps it at a distance.
Whittaker swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Sutton counters with a big head kick but Whittaker shrugs it off.
Whittaker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Sutton.
Whittaker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Whittaker closes the distance and clinches up with Sutton, looking for a takedown. Whittaker pushes Sutton against the cage but Sutton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Whittaker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Whittaker looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Whittaker just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromSutton.
Whittaker looks winded!
Whittaker tries a head kick but it misses.
Sutton drops down looking for a counter takedown but Whittaker sprawls and moves away.
Whittaker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sutton half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Sutton gets a takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sutton clinches up against the cage.

Sutton has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Whittaker clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Whittaker is trying to stand back up.

Sutton controls the position.
Whittaker wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Zachariah Sutton will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Zachariah Sutton's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Sutton moves into the clinch.

Whittaker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Whittaker misses with a hook

and Sutton moves into the clinch.
Sutton is looking to break free of the clinch but Whittaker has double underhooks.
Sutton is trying to pull guard but Whittaker has him pressed against the cage.
Sutton wants a takedown but no success here.
Whittaker lands an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sutton breaks the clinch.
Sutton has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Whittaker finds it's way round the side to connect with Sutton's head.
Whittaker drops Sutton with a straight right hand, right on the button! Whittaker follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
