The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Radbod Blank and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Uwatuba throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Uwatuba moves into range and clinches up with Harris.
Uwatuba jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Harris walks away with a smile on his face. Uwatuba gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Uwatuba gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Harris to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Harris looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Harris might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Uwatuba for as long as he can get away with.
Uwatuba wants to improve his position but instead Harris has moved into half guard.

Harris decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Harris moves into range and clinches up with Uwatuba.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Harris.
Uwatuba drops down looking for an ankle pick but Harris pulls his leg out and moves away.
Uwatuba gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Uwatuba fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Alton Harris has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Francis Uwatuba.
Uwatuba drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Harris lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Uwatuba is trying to escape back to his feet but Harris uses the scramble to pass into side control.
A lull in the action here as Harris stalls from top position.
Harris cracks Uwatuba with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Uwatuba is letting Harris control him for a moment.

Uwatuba wants to get back to his feet but Harris drags him back down.
Harris works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Harris scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Uwatuba to see if he's OK.

Uwatuba is working to avoid the ground and pound but Harris connects with a decent elbow.
Harris stands up and beckons Uwatuba to his feet.
Harris misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Uwatuba looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Uwatuba looks winded!
Harris shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Uwatuba is trying to defend but Harris finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Harris's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Harris is landing with some decent strikes but Uwatuba is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Harris clinches.
Uwatuba tries to pull guard but Harris forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Harris tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Uwatuba smiles and moves away.
Uwatuba moves into the clinch.
Harris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harris has managed to clinch.

Uwatuba tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Harris just stands there and leans against the cage.
Harris tries to pull guard but Uwatuba holds him up against the cage and eventually Harris drops back down to his feet.
Uwatuba looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Harris is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Harris jumps into guard, dragging Uwatuba to the mat.

Uwatuba postures up in Harris's guard and throws a big left but Harris blocks it.
Uwatuba has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Harris to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Uwatuba is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Harris pulls down on the head and he's put Uwatuba to sleep! This one is all over!
