Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Malibu Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Tataglia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson clinches up with Tataglia and pushes him back against the cage.

Tataglia blocks the elbow strike.
Tataglia is trying to maintain a safe position but Johnson gets an underhook and turns Tataglia into the cage.

Tataglia feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

That was a close round but I would say that Malibu Johnson will probably get the nod.

Tataglia shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Johnson is trying to defend but Tataglia finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Tataglia shoots in looking for a takedown. Johnson tries to sprawl out of it but Tataglia keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Johnson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Rock Tataglia showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Johnson jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Tataglia is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Tataglia and Johnson has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Johnson swings around for an armbar but Tataglia sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Johnson's guard.
Tataglia thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
