PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hal Noble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrock Dillick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tyrock Dillick will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hal Noble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tyrock Dillick!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dillick has Noble up against the cage in a clinch.
Dillick wants a takedown.
Dillick stalling in the clinch but Noble improves position.
Dillick goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Still in the clinch, Dillick scores with a nice short uppercut.

Dillick manages to pull guard.
Noble is working Dillick over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Noble will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Dillick wants to sweep here but Noble controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Noble stands up and waves to Dillick to follow him.

Dillick throws a sloppy head kick and Noble moves out of range easily.
Noble throws a series of punches but Dillick avoids them all with ease.

Noble lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Dillick backs up against the cage.

Noble fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dillick to the ground. Noble is now in Dillick's guard.
Noble in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Dillick is working an open guard so Noble takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

It looks like Hal Noble has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dillick fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Noble avoids it really well and circles away.
Hal Noble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrock Dillick.

Dillick tries to clinch up but Noble circles away and keeps his distance.

Dillick gets caught flat footed, as Noble shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Dillick utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Dillick looking to hit a scissor sweep but Noble is one step ahead there.

Noble drops back looking for a leg! Dillick is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dillick manages to kick Noble off! Noble jumps back into Dillick's guard.

Noble stands up over Dillick, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Noble stands up and waves to Dillick to follow him.
Dillick misses with a straight left.
Noble defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Dillick.

Dillick gets a clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Dillick - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Noble tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Noble really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Dillick.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hal Noble will probably get the nod.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Noble tries to bum rush Dillick with a series of wild strikes but Dillick uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Noble throws a right hand that Dillick ducks under and follows up with a left that Dillick also avoids with ease.
Dillick dives in for a single leg takedown but Noble sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Dillick fails with the takedown.

Dillick clinches up with Noble and pushes him back against the cage.

Dillick breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Dillick shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Noble but Noble pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Hal Noble has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyrock Dillick.

Noble is working to tighten his grip on Dillick's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Dillick has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Noble is really squeezing tight and eventually Dillick passes out! Noble breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
