The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hofman shoots in but no luck this time.
Rodrigues looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Hofman shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hofman showed some decent athleticism there.

Hofman is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Rodrigues is just riding it out for now. Hofman eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hofman is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Rodrigues is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

A relieved looking Denis Hofman thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
