PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight kickboxing rules bout between Sean Shark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrzej Destrowicz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shark kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is America!. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Shark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrzej Destrowicz!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shark missing with a left hand there. Destrowicz was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Destrowicz scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Shark really is a fat lump.
Shark is looking to clinch.
Destrowicz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Sean Shark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Destrowicz takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Shark tries to land a leg kick but Destrowicz saw it coming and moves away.
Shark lunges at Destrowicz with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Destrowicz's hand.
Shark walks into a stiff left hand from Destrowicz.

Shark closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Destrowicz lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Shark backwards.
A nice left hand lands by Destrowicz.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Shark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Destrowicz, as that shot connected.
Shark gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Jab, jab by Destrowicz - just one landing.
Shark fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Shark takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Shark is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Destrowicz.
Destrowicz stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Shark takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Shark walks into a jab.
Shark tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Destrowicz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Shark doesn't manage to clinch there - Destrowicz circles away.
Destrowicz works Shark's body with a nice hook.
Destrowicz swings for the body but Shark moves out of range.
Destrowicz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Shark.

Destrowicz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Destrowicz, as that shot connected.

Destrowicz bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shark's head.
Shark cracks Destrowicz with a right hand to the side of the head.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shark looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shark tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Destrowicz wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Shark is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Destrowicz with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Shark to score with a decent uppercut.
Shark moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

and Destrowicz counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Destrowicz paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Destrowicz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Destrowicz tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Shark was well out of range. Poor timing from Destrowicz.
Destrowicz looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Shark is rocked!
Destrowicz bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shark's head.
Oh Shark is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Destrowicz connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shark. Shark circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Andrzej Destrowicz seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Destrowicz checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Shark seems to have got his legs back now.
Destrowicz swats away the attempt to clinch by Shark.
Shark tries to close the distance and clinch but Destrowicz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Destrowicz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Shark throws a body shot but no joy.

Destrowicz goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

It looks like Shark has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
Destrowicz is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Shark looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Andrzej Destrowicz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Andrzej Destrowicz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Destrowicz has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
