The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Paha Hemmo has been cut.

Hemmo seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Aarnio tries to work over Hemmo's front leg with a kick but Hemmo checks it.

Aarnio is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The crowd cheers as Aarnio lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hemmo doesn't seem phased though.
Aarnio takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Aarnio is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Hemmo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Aarnio thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hemmo if he has to take too many more of those.
Aarnio has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Hemmo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Aarnio is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Hemmo has his hands clasped together but Aarnio extends and breaks Hemmo's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Aarnio.

After the fight, Jari Aarnio was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
