Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hubert Greene (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Brinkley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brinkley has chosen Till I Collapse as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hubert Greene!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Brinkley!
The judges for this bout are Russell Pearce, David Schapiro and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brinkley tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Greene defends well and Brinkley ends up having to push Greene into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Brinkley looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Brinkley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Greene looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Brinkley avoids the strikes from the bottom by Greene.
Greene sneaks back into half guard.
Greene throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Greene actively working from the bottom here.
Greene is trying to control but can't.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Greene is pressing down on Brinkley's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Greene lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Greene postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Greene really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Greene is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Greene accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Greene wants to control from the top but Brinkley keeps moving.
Greene is in close to Brinkley's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Brinkley has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at WildBoar's Pig Pen (Strength and Conditioning) $40. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Greene is working Brinkley over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Greene is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Greene drops down looking for an ankle pick but Brinkley pulls his leg out and moves away.

Brinkley closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Greene to the mat! Greene manages to get full guard.

Greene throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Brinkley wants to control from the top but Greene keeps moving.
Greene will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Greene has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Brinkley is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Greene.
Greene is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Brinkley's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hubert Greene will probably get the nod.

Greene shoots in and gets a takedown into Brinkley's guard.
Greene will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Greene is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Brinkley can do to turn this around?

Brinkley takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Brinkley tries to bench press Greene off him but Greene keeps the position.
Greene lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Brinkley down.

Brinkley wants to control his opponent's hands but Greene gets his hands free.
Greene lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Greene.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Greene is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Brinkley defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Greene closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Brinkley takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Greene has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Brinkley after a bit of a struggle.

Greene seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brinkley for as long as he can get away with.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Greene has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Greene tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Brinkley will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Hubert Greene is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Hubert Greene showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Greene, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
