The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okoro cracks Pummel with a right hand to the side of the head.
Okoro lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Okoro fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pummel looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Pummel is breathing heavily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pummel looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hijab Pummel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Okoro has taken the fight to the clinch.
Okoro connects with a knee to the head.

It looks like Hijab Pummel has been cut.
Okoro lands an elbow inside that Pummel shrugs off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Okoro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Okoro works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Okoro cracks Pummel with an uppercut from hell and Pummel crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Okoro's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Okoro is pushing down on Pummel's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pummel is fighting to maintain full guard but Okoro has managed to sneak the leg through.

Okoro lands with a nice combination. Pummel backs away looking to recover.
Okoro works the jab nicely.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Okoro dances in with a quick combination. Pummel is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Okoro snaps Pummel's head back. Pummel stumbles backwards against the cage. Okoro steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Pummel's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Pummel just didn't come prepared.
