Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Russ Noble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Russ Noble!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Lewis!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noble lands a nice hook to Lewis's body. Lewis takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Noble gets the takedown into side control.
Lewis is trying to get back to half guard.

Noble stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Lewis has a takedown stuffed.
Lewis shoots and misses
and Noble counters with a straight right hand.
Noble changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lewis tries to avoid it but Noble manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lewis to the ground. Lewis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Noble lands with a good body shot.

Jack Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lewis fails with the takedown
and Noble counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

and Noble counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Noble looks for a takedown but Lewis sprawls well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Lewis tries to pass the half guard into mount. Noble knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Noble cracks Lewis with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Lewis misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Noble is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
The crowd cheers as Noble lands an impressive looking overhand right. Lewis doesn't seem phased though.
Lewis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Noble's waist but Noble gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lewis off to one side.
A shot to the liver by Noble. Beautiful body shot.

Lewis feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Noble is looking to stand up but Lewis isn't so interested in that idea.

Noble is looking to control Lewis's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Noble avoid being mounted?
Lewis takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Noble is controlling Lewis's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
More stalling from Lewis.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Noble stuffs the takedown.
Noble scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

and Noble counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Lewis shoots for a takedown but Noble saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Noble swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

Noble bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Noble ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.

Lewis shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Noble is looking to stand up but Lewis isn't so interested in that idea.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lewis is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Lewis is thwarting Noble's attempts to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Russ Noble will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Lewis is trying to control Noble's posture but Noble avoids it.

Noble is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lewis is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Noble tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.

Lewis tries to bench press Noble off him but Noble keeps the position.

Noble swings around for an armbar but Lewis sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Noble's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lewis stops Noble from standing up.
Noble not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Lewis throws a big elbow that misses.
Lewis throwing strikes but missing.
Russ Noble is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lewis accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Lewis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Lewis is continuing to stall.
Lewis loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Jack Lewis has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lewis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Noble but Noble pushes him off and we're back to square one.

And that's the end of the fight!
Russ Noble showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Noble, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
