Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rancho Wildslap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shawn Skinner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wildslap might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Get Schwifty. Skinner is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Slayer - Raining Blood. Rancho Wildslap has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Skinner.
We've been hearing reports that Wildslap has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Skinner uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Skinner comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Wildslap takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Skinner connects with a single shot there.
Wildslap shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Skinner pinned against the cage. Skinner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Skinner throws a sloppy head kick and Wildslap moves out of range easily.
Wildslap drops down looking for a counter takedown but Skinner sprawls and moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Skinner connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Skinner lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Skinner closes the distance and clinches.

Wildslap is trying to pull guard but Skinner has him pressed against the cage.

Wildslap tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Skinner smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rancho Wildslap. That's going to take a lot out of him.
No joy there for Skinner, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Wildslap attempts a counter takedown but Skinner avoids it well and moves away.
Skinner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Wildslap.
Wildslap walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Skinner lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Wildslap takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Skinner cracks Wildslap with a good jab.

Skinner drops Wildslap with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Wildslap looks back up at him and smiles so Skinner waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Wildslap is rocked!
Skinner is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Wildslap had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
