Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adolph Hodge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Chandler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chris Chandler looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hodge tries to clinch but Chandler is having none of it.
Horrible takedown attempt by Chandler or perhaps it was just good defense by Hodge, which made it look bad.
Chris Chandler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chandler has closed the distance and engaged Hodge in a clinch.

Hodge has Chandler pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Hodge pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Chandler tumbling to the mat - Hodge dives into Chandler's guard.

Chandler uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Chandler breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Chandler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hodge.

Hodge looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Chandler with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Hodge decides to return to a standing position.

Chandler has managed to clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Chandler is trying to break the clinch but Hodge has him pressed against the cage.

Chandler feints a jab promting Hodge to slip. Chandler then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Hodge slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

It looks like Adolph Hodge has been cut.
Chandler scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Hodge closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hodge lands in his opponent's guard.

and Hodge counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hodge.
Hodge has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Chandler after a bit of a struggle.
Chandler is pressed up against the cage. Hodge has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Chandler down to the mat. Chandler avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Chandler has control of Hodge's left arm, preventing Hodge from doing any damage.

BOOM! Hodge connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Hodge has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hodge escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Chandler gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hodge seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
