Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mario Eikmeyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Caiaphas Caine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caine with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Caine scores with a hook.
Caine darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Mario Eikmeyer has been cut.
Caine stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Caine wants it to stay on the feet.
Eikmeyer shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Caine as he avoids it easily.
Caine closes the distance and clinches.
Caine pushes Eikmeyer back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Eikmeyer gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Caine is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Eikmeyer pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Eikmeyer is trying to work for a kimura but Caine is defending well.

Caine is trying to get back to full guard.

Eikmeyer lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
It looks like Caiaphas Caine has been cut.

Eikmeyer is looking for a kimura but Caine is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Eikmeyer to get the leverage.

Caine told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Caine tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Eikmeyer is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
That has opened up Caiaphas Caine's cut even more.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Caiaphas Caine's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

After the fight, Mario Eikmeyer was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
