Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barker Woods (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boubacar Binio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Binio fails to land the takedown.

Woods moves into the clinch.
Woods lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Woods gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Binio regains guard.

Binio has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Woods is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Binio tries to circle away but Woods has him pinned against the cage.

Woods breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Woods goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Binio throws a combination. Woods tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

It looks like Barker Woods has been cut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Woods misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Woods with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Woods decides to pull guard.

Woods is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Woods wants to stand but Binio is controlling the position.
Woods looking to hit a scissor sweep but Binio is one step ahead there.

Woods is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Woods is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Binio to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Binio shrugs it off.

Woods wants to control the pace but Binio is squirming around nicely.

Woods lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Binio can't escape the position.

Woods stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Woods drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Binio looks winded!
Binio can't do much from the bottom here.
Woods creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Woods tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Woods has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Woods bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Binio can't do much from the bottom here.
Barker Woods overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Binio sneaks back into half guard.
Woods looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Binio with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Woods looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Woods seems to be looking for submissions.

Binio tries to get to full guard but Woods has control of the leg.
Binio pushes Woods off looking to stand but Woods dives back in and keeps control.
Woods lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Binio is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Woods has latched onto it... Big trouble! Woods pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Binio is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Woods!
