Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ignacio Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Dugan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Dugan!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dugan clinches up against the cage.
Kane working hard to break the clinch.

Kane controls Dugan momentarily but Dugan frees himself.
Dugan wants to control from the top but Kane keeps moving.
Kane is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dugan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kane. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kane wants to sweep here but Dugan controlling him for the moment.
Kane is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dugan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dugan wants to pass the guard but Kane is keeping the position.

Kane wants to get back to striking at distance but Dugan won't allow it.

Kane goes for a takedown attempt but Dugan pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Kane misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ignacio Kane. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Kane gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Kane pushes Dugan off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Horrible takedown attempt by Kane or perhaps it was just good defense by Dugan, which made it look bad.
Dugan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kane defends it well.

Kane pulls guard.
Dugan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kane swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Dugan slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Kane has his feet on Dugan's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Dugan closes the distance and clinches.

Dugan jumps guard and drags Kane to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Dugan tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kane gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A shot to the body from Dugan misses
and Kane counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Dugan thinking.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kane enables Dugan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kane manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dugan looks winded!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Kane wants to stand but Dugan is controlling the position.

Kane manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Kane manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kane fails to land the takedown.
Dugan drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kane defends it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kane pushes Dugan off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

and Kane counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Dugan dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kane. That did some damage!
Kane shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dugan pinned against the cage. Dugan gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kane takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Dugan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kane is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Dugan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Jeremy Dugan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Dugan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Kane is staying active underneath Dugan, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Dugan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kane keeps working.
Dugan seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Kane has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Dugan has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Kane turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Kane manages to end up in side control.

Dugan sneaks out the side door and pushes Kane away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Well Dugan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
