Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Abe Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dearld Walte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dearld Walte will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abe Taylor!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dearld Walte!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Taylor closes the distance and pushes Walte back into the cage.

Taylor pulls guard successfully.
Walte throws an elbow that misses. Taylor uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Walte's guard. Nice move by Taylor!

Walte is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Taylor dives into side control.
Taylor looks up at the clock and then as Walte takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Taylor smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Walte wants to get back to his feet but Taylor is dominant here and he's now got Walte's back!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walte is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Taylor has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Taylor is looking to finish with some ground and pound!
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Taylor.

Taylor slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Walte is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Taylor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Walte on his heels. He'll look to pass Walte's guard now, I'm sure.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Walte bucks up and tries to throw Taylor off but instead Taylor has got his back!

Taylor cracks Walte with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Walte from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Taylor really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Walte.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Taylor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Walte for as long as he can get away with.

Taylor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Walte pushes Taylor off but Taylor dives into side control.

Taylor takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Walte has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.
The referee is taking a good look at Walte as he is on the wrong end of some big shots from Taylor!

Taylor lands shots from the back.
Taylor is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Taylor gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Taylor gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Taylor apologises and we restart here on the feet.
