Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Krylov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Walker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sergei Krylov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Dan Walker!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Leandro Rodrigues and Felipe Paraventi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krylov circles away from the clinch attempt.

Krylov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Walker was covering up waiting for the punch and Krylov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Krylov is working Walker over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Krylov pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walker is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Krylov advances position into side control!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Krylov throws a strike aimed at the side of Walker's head but Walker avoids it well.
Krylov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Walker on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Walker should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Krylov is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Walker has escaped the position, nice work there.

Walker is trying to control Krylov's posture but Krylov avoids it.
Walker is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Walker is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Krylov's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Krylov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Walker throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Still in half guard, Krylov seems content to control.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Krylov has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Krylov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Walker with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Krylov moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Walker.
Krylov lands a few punches from side control.
Walker is trying to improve his position.
Krylov takes a little break here. Walker wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Walker on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Walker stuffs the takedown.

Walker is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.

and Walker counters with a one-two to the body.
Krylov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Walker can do to turn this around?

Walker looks for a takedown but Krylov sprawls well.
Krylov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Walker on the side of the head.
Dan Walker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
No joy there for Krylov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Krylov throws out a loose jab but Walker uses good head movement to avoid it.
Krylov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Walker.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Walker closes the distance and clinches.
Walker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Krylov gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Krylov has clasped his hands together around Walker's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Krylov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Krylov is staying tight to Walker's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Krylov is trying to get an arm triangle but Walker is defending well.
Walker is working to avoid the ground and pound but Krylov connects with a decent elbow.
Walker is looking for a sweep.

Walker is trying to escape the position but Krylov is controlling the position.
Sergei Krylov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Krylov's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Walker tries to buck Krylov off but Krylov is having none of it.

Walker wants to control but Krylov postures up.
Krylov tries to move into full mount but can't pass Walker's legs.
Krylov remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Krylov throws a hook but Walker avoids it easily.
A right-left combo lands from Krylov.
Krylov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Walker tries to avoid it but Krylov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Walker to the ground. Walker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Walker gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Krylov shoots in looking for a takedown. Walker tries to sprawl out of it but Krylov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Walker manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergei Krylov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Krylov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Krylov wants it to stay on the feet.

Krylov jabs Walker to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Krylov connects with a looping right hand.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!



Krylov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Krylov wants a takedown.

Walker is fighting off a takedown attempt but Krylov is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Walker to the mat. Walker regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Krylov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Krylov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Walker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Krylov has managed to get both his arms back between Walker's legs - danger averted.

This is a sustained period of stalling by Krylov.
Krylov passes Walker's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Krylov wants to pass the guard but Walker is defending well.
Krylov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Krylov works his way into side control.
Krylov tries to advance to mount but Walker denies him.
Krylov staying calm.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Walker takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Krylov in side control lands a decent elbow.

Krylov creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Krylov in side control, throwing shots but Walker defends.
Krylov controls the position.
Krylov moves into full mount!

Krylov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Walker for as long as he can get away with.

Walker tries to lock up and control but Krylov gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Krylov fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Dan Walker has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Sergei Krylov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Krylov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Well Krylov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
