Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Truman Mcknight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arlon Wind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlon Wind has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Truman Mcknight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of New York, Arlon Wind!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Russell Pearce and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcknight tries to clinch up but Wind circles away and keeps his distance.
Wind swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wind fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Mcknight ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wind moves away.
Wind throws a counter combo.

Mcknight closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mcknight lands in his opponent's guard.

Wind has his feet on Mcknight's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Wind swinging wildly here.
Wind takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Wind dives in for a single leg takedown but Mcknight sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Mcknight closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mcknight stands up out of the half guard.
Wind shoots in for a takedown but Mcknight shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Truman Mcknight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Arlon Wind.
Mcknight changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wind tries to avoid it but Mcknight manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wind to the ground. Wind escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Wind gets tackled into the cage by Mcknight. Mcknight maintains the clinch.

The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Wind has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mcknight avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Wind pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Mcknight connects with a single shot there.

Mcknight moves into range and clinches up with Wind.

Arlon Wind seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wind seems keen to control Mcknight's posture.

Wind wants to sweep here but Mcknight controlling him for the moment.
Mcknight throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wind works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Wind is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Mcknight defends well.

Wind has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mcknight is working away from the top position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Mcknight seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Wind gets back to full guard.
Mcknight has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wind is proving hard to escape from.
Mcknight has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wind is on top in guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Truman Mcknight will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Mcknight has a takedown stuffed.
Mcknight tries to close the distance and clinch but Wind swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wind dives in and scores a takedown into Mcknight's guard.

Mcknight uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Wind has closed the distance and engaged Mcknight in a clinch.

Wind escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Mcknight misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Mcknight leaves Wind with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
A solid leg kick lands there for Wind.

Mcknight is looking to clinch.
Mcknight is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Mcknight tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Wind defends well and Mcknight ends up having to push Wind into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Mcknight tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wind manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And Wind tries to counter it with a takedown but Mcknight pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Wind shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mcknight as he avoids it easily.

and Wind counters with a left and a right that stings Mcknight.
Mcknight stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mcknight wants it to stay on the feet.

Wind is breathing heavily.

Mcknight closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mcknight is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Wind to keep the fight standing.

Mcknight is looking to stand up but Wind won't let him.

Mcknight gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Arlon Wind seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Mcknight misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Wind moves into the clinch successfully.
Mcknight tries to pull guard but Wind won't allow it.

Mcknight jumps into guard, dragging Wind to the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wind wants to pass the guard but Mcknight is keeping the position.
Wind not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Mcknight is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wind is controlling him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wind working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Mcknight gets back to full guard.
Connects with an elbow from the bottom, proving to the judges that he's still active off his back.
Wind trying to control but Mcknight is working from the bottom.
Wind wants to stand but Mcknight has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Mcknight is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Mcknight looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Wind passes into half guard.

Arlon Wind showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Mcknight's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

The fight stays on the outside here - Mcknight looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Wind with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Wind shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mcknight pinned against the cage. Mcknight gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wind throws a sloppy head kick and Mcknight moves out of range easily.
Wind takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Mcknight slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Wind will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Mcknight has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wind is proving hard to escape from.

Mcknight drops back, looking for a kneebar! Wind looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Wind looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Wind!

Mcknight tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wind wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Wind gets to mount! Mcknight was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Mcknight is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Wind.
Wind punishes Mcknight with strikes from the back mount.
Wind is hanging on to Mcknight's back as he tries to escape.
Wind has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Mcknight.

Wind slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
What can Mcknight do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

Mcknight is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Wind controlling the position well here. Mcknight rolled but Wind kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
