The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jelani looks to land a combination but Krueger avoids it well.
A punch combination from Jelani misses.
Jelani lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Volt Krueger has been cut.
Jelani looks to land a combination. Krueger sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Jelani.
Jelani looks to land a combination but Krueger avoids it well.
Krueger seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Jelani rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Krueger moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Krueger moves into the clinch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Krueger gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Krueger is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jelani defends it well.

Krueger is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jelani is just riding it out for now. Krueger eventually gives up the hold.
Jelani tries to kick Krueger off but Krueger keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Krueger stands up and beckons Jelani to join him on the feet.

Krueger tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Jelani manages to circle out of the way.

Jelani gets tackled into the cage by Krueger. Krueger maintains the clinch.
Jelani is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Krueger gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Jelani is fighting off a takedown attempt but Krueger is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Jelani to the mat. Jelani regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Jelani is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Krueger is aware though and is defending well.
Krueger controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Krueger looking to improve position, pressing down on Jelani's thigh with his hand. Jelani seems to be working to lock up a guilotine though... is Krueger paying attention? Apparently not! He's locked it up tight! Krueger's face has turned purple! Will he tap? Will he! YES! He's tapped! Jelani picked his opening and made it count! Great finish!
