The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richard clinches up against the cage.

Richard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Tonka tries to close the distance and clinch up but Richard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Tonka leaves Richard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tonka throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Tonka tries to clinch but Richard is having none of it.

Richard lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Richard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tonka on the ground.
