Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Numbers Sexton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams has chosen Free Blac Youngsta as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Numbers Sexton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeffrey Williams!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Alyssa Summers and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams throws the kick towards the body but Sexton avoids it.
As Williams looks to move away, Sexton throws a big counter combo but Williams just gets out of the way.
Williams fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Williams drives through with a takedown into guard.
Williams trying to control but Sexton is working from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Williams accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Williams pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sexton is keeping the position for now.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sexton is on top in guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Sexton wants to stand but Williams has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Williams is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sexton is controlling him.
Sexton is in close to Williams's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Sexton makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Sexton has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Williams looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Sexton puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Williams wants to improve his position but Sexton is controlling well.
It looks like Sexton is going to stand back up.
Williams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sexton. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sexton has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Williams has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Williams's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Sexton connects with a nice short shot to Williams's temple.
