Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Smokey Dashab!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bailey forces Dashab back against the cage and clinches.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Bailey rushes Dashab and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bailey shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Max Bailey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Dashab changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bailey tries to avoid it but Dashab manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bailey to the ground. Bailey escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bailey shoots in for a takedown but Dashab shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Dashab tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bailey swivels and escapes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dashab shoots in looking for a takedown but Bailey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dashab's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Dashab has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Bailey is on him like a limpet, forcing Dashab back against the cage.

Bailey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Bailey has closed the distance and engaged Dashab in a clinch.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A frustrated look appears on Dashab's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Bailey wants the takedown. Dashab is fighting it off but Bailey persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Dashab's guard against the cage.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Dashab is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Dashab shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bailey but Bailey pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Dashab darts in looking for a takedown but Bailey gets double underhooks and turns Dashab into the cage.

Bailey shoots for a double leg takedown but Dashab sprawls well. He's pushed Bailey's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Dashab shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Bailey as he avoids it easily.
Bailey throws a big counter combination but Dashab scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Bailey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Dashab's guard.

Bailey gets to his feet - Dashab follows without any prompting.
Dashab throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bailey's waist but Bailey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dashab off to one side.
Bailey changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Dashab wants to get up but he can't break Bailey's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Max Bailey overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Dashab wants to control but Bailey is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Bailey seems to be working for a kimura but Dashab defends the submission attempt.
