Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Royal Vinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Iniesta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Royal Vinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sergio Iniesta!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Iniesta closes the distance and clinches.
Vinson jumps guard but Iniesta turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Iniesta is trying to trip Vinson. He has hold of a leg but Vinson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Iniesta persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Vinson is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Iniesta presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Iniesta gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Iniesta pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Vinson is keeping the position for now.

Iniesta throws an elbow that misses. Vinson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Iniesta's guard. Nice move by Vinson!

Vinson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Iniesta is proving hard to escape from.

Vinson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vinson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Vinson gets to his feet. Iniesta looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Iniesta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vinson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Iniesta controls the position.
Iniesta tries to stand but Vinson controls the position and pulls Iniesta into his guard.
Vinson is trying to keep Iniesta in close.
Iniesta postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Iniesta has gone for a leg lock! Vinson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Iniesta's guard.

Vinson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Vinson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Iniesta seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Vinson drops back looking for a leg! Iniesta is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Iniesta manages to kick Vinson off! Vinson jumps back into Iniesta's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Iniesta is looking to stand up but Vinson isn't so interested in that idea.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Iniesta shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vinson napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That was a close round but I would say that Royal Vinson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Vinson pivots, looking for a leg kick but Iniesta is out of range and Vinson settles back down.

Vinson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Iniesta wants to control from the top but Vinson keeps moving.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Vinson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Iniesta not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Vinson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Iniesta.
Royal Vinson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Iniesta plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!


It looks like Royal Vinson has been cut.

A close second round but Sergio Iniesta will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Iniesta slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Let's hope that Iniesta has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Vinson shoots for a takedown but Iniesta saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Iniesta can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sergio Iniesta comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Iniesta has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
