The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rewell wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Tsuruta shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rewell napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Tsuruta has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Tsuruta fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Tsuruta is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Rewell looks calm but he's in trouble here. Tsuruta gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Rewell is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Tsuruta lets go of the hold and Rewell can pop his arm back in it's socket.
