Spong kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Can't be touched. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spong lands the left hand.
Spong cracks Nemkov with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Nemkov closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Spong did well to prevent Nemkov getting side control.

Nemkov is looking to take a break and control but Spong is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Nemkov throws a looping overhand right but Spong ducks down to avoid it.
Spong stuns Nemkov with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Spong lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nemkov swinging wildly here.

Nemkov throws a head kick but Spong moves out of range.
Spong connects with a crisp jab.
Nemkov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Spong cracks Nemkov with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Nemkov looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Spong finish him?

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Spong engages and cracks Nemkov with a massive lead left hook - Nemkov tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Spong is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
