Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Devil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricky Kelly has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, The Devil!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ricky Kelly!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kelly shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Kelly was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Devil looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Kelly decides to stand up.

Kelly drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Devil dodges the ground and pound from Kelly.
Kelly takes a little break here. Devil wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Kelly throws a strike aimed at the side of Devil's head but Devil avoids it well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kelly is pushing down on Devil's leg trying to pass to half guard. Devil is fighting to maintain full guard but Kelly has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kelly really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Devil. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Devil walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kelly.

Kelly shoots in and gets a takedown into Devil's guard.
Kelly sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Devil's guard.
Kelly wants to take a breather but Devil is having none of it.
Kelly thows a huge punch but Devil dodges it nicely.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Kelly seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Kelly not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ricky Kelly showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Devil's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Devil tries to keep at a distance but Kelly has taken the fight into the clinch.
Devil looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Kelly lands a good knee to the midsection. Devil won't want to take too many of those.

It looks like The Devil has been cut.

Kelly wants the takedown. Devil is fighting it off but Kelly persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Devil's guard against the cage.

Well Kelly has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
