Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Robin Tuck!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Scott John!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuck throws a shot to the body.
Tuck chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before John can pounce on him.
Tuck cracks John with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Robin Tuck seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Tuck takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
John on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Tuck tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but John paws at him with a jab and circles away.
John counters with a body kick.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tuck lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and John has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from John and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Tuck moves out of range of the strikes.
John thows a left - swing and a miss!
Tuck moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
John keeps the fight on the outside.
And John responds with a good body kick, but Tuck manages to step out the way in time.
Tuck tries to close the distance and clinch but John swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
John avoids the body shot from Tuck.
John lands a nice leg kick that just misses Tuck's sensitive parts.
John misses with a low kick.
John misses the shot to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tuck swinging wildly here.
Tuck tries to clinch but John moves away
and John counters with a nice uppercut.
Tuck on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like Robin Tuck has been cut.
Tuck seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Tuck throws a body shot but no joy.
Nice jab there from Tuck.
John delivers a nice body kick.
Tuck with a body punch. A glancing blow.
John works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Tuck doesn't manage to clinch there - John circles away.
Tuck is looking to clinch but John is avoiding it.
Tuck throws a lazy uppercut
and John counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Tuck digs a good hook to John's body.
Tuck is looking to clinch.
John was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Tuck scores with a punch to the head.
Tuck has John up against the cage in a clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, John creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
John breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tuck is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Tuck slips under a jab.
Tuck seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
John tries to land a front kick but Tuck steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Tuck has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by John.
Tuck swings away with a body shot that misses
and John counters with a stiff right hand.
Tuck on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by John. John obviously looking to wear him down.
John dips to his left and cracks Tuck with an uppercut!
Tuck is rocked!
Tuck walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! John swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Scott John!
In his post fight interview, Scott John started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Robin Tuck was interviewed post fight and said 'Fuck the refs!'.
