The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Francis swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Atkins.

It looks like Ahmad Atkins has been cut.
Atkins dodges the punch combination from Francis.
Atkins is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Francis.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Atkins.
Francis tries to counter by closing the distance.

Francis closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Francis lands an elbow just above Atkins 's eye.
Atkins is trying to break the clinch but Francis is controlling him.

Atkins is rocked!

Oh Atkins is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Francis.
Atkins is pressed against the cage. Francis pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Atkins! Two more big strikes from Francis and Atkins crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
