PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Niko Alzate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Niko Alzate!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor shoots in but no luck this time.
Alzate is trying to counter with his kicks.
Taylor shoots and misses
and Alzate counters with an inside leg kick.
Alzate lands with a hook. Taylor tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Jason Taylor has been cut.
Alzate connects with a crisp jab.

Alzate looks to land a body kick but Taylor moved away.

Taylor throws a strike but Alzate rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Taylor throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Alzate stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

Alzate lands a big head kick that sends Taylor tumbling to the mat! Alzate takes a step backwards and waves Taylor back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Alzate paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

and Alzate counters with a big right hand! Oh Taylor is in trouble here! Alzate follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
