Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Adrian Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bralynn Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adrian Daniels!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bralynn Jenkins!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Daniels swivels and escapes.
Daniels stuffs the takedown.
Daniels appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Daniels could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Jenkins enables Daniels to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jenkins manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Jenkins wriggles free and stands up.

Daniels closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Jenkins's guard.
Daniels is standing up over Jenkins. Jenkins looks to escape but Daniels dives into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jenkins tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jenkins is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Daniels has control of an arm but Jenkins manages to advance to Daniels's back!

Daniels wants to escape the position.

Daniels is having to fend off submission attempts from Jenkins, who is looking to sink in the choke. Jenkins doesn't have the hooks in though and Daniels manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard.

Jenkins wants to control the position but Daniels says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Jenkins has a closed guard, preventing Daniels from standing up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Jenkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daniels pinned against the cage. Daniels gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Adrian Daniels has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bralynn Jenkins.

Jenkins moves into range and clinches up with Daniels.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Daniels tries to pull guard but Jenkins won't allow it.

That was a close round but I would say that Adrian Daniels will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Jenkins tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Daniels manages to move to mount!

Jenkins tries to lock up and control but Daniels gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Daniels is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jenkins can do to turn this around?

Daniels manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jenkins manages to get himself to full guard.


Daniels stands up and waves to Jenkins to follow him.
Daniels dives in for a single leg takedown but Jenkins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Jenkins stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jenkins wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Adrian Daniels. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jenkins has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Daniels is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Jenkins.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Daniels slips a nice elbow through Jenkins's hands, connecting with Jenkins's forehead.

Daniels lands a nice shot to the head.

Daniels is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Jenkins can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Daniels, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
