Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Elijah Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arlon Wind (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Carter rushes Wind and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Carter pulls Wind into guard.
Carter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Carter is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Wind stands and steps away. Carter gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Wind closes the distance and clinches.
Wind is working Carter over against the cage.
Carter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wind just stands there and leans against the cage.

Wind breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Carter throws a push kick but Wind slaps the foot to one side.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter is looking to clinch but Wind is avoiding it.
Wind moves out of range as Carter throws a body kick.
Carter misses with a two punch combination.
Arlon Wind seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Wind, right into the meat.

Wind has taken the fight to the clinch.

Carter ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Carter no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Carter is trying to hold Wind in close to prevent damage but Wind has managed to pass into half guard.

Wind decides to return to a standing position.

Carter gets tackled into the cage by Wind. Wind maintains the clinch.

Wind pulls guard effortlessly.
Wind pulls Carter in close to his closed guard and prevents Carter from doing any damage or advancing position.

Carter wants to stand but Wind is controlling his posture from full guard.
Carter wants to control from the top but Wind keeps moving.
Carter wants to stand but Wind has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Carter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Wind tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Carter trying to control the position from guard on top but Wind is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Carter tries to stand but Wind is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Wind misses with a head kick.

It looks like Elijah Carter has been cut.

Wind shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Wind was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Carter is rocked!
Wind avoids the strikes from the bottom by Carter.

Oh Carter is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wind scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Carter is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Wind can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
