Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between German Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ibby Dibb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, German Stevenson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ibby Dibb!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Dibb pinned against the cage. Dibb gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Dibb drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Dibb thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Stevenson manages to get back to half guard.
Dibb thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Stevenson's head.
Stevenson tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Dibb has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Dibb tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Dibb thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.

Stevenson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dibb avoids the attempt from Stevenson to control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Stevenson can't escape the position.
The referee warns Stevenson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Stevenson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Dibb sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Stevenson wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Dibb.
Dibb looking to ground and pound but Stevenson is blocking nicely.

Dibb jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Stevenson manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Dibb postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

You can see the frustration on Stevenson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Stevenson is looking for a sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Dibb tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Dibb has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
The strikes coming from Dibb are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Dibb content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Dibb tries to advance to mount but Stevenson denies him.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Stevenson wants to control but Dibb postures up.
Stevenson prevents Dibb from improving position.
Stevenson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
An elbow from Dibb crashes against the mat.
Stevenson is trying to control Dibb's posture but Dibb avoids it.

The ground and pound from Dibb seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Dibb has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Dibb feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Dibb decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stevenson, up you get!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stevenson wants to improve his position but Dibb is controlling well.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dibb content to control rather than advance.

Ibby Dibb showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!



Stevenson gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dibb to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Dibb seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Dibb wants to free his trapped foot but Stevenson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Stevenson is looking for a sweep. Dibb is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Stevenson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Dibb sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stevenson's guard.
Stevenson wants to control but Dibb is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Dibb is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stevenson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dibb stands up.

Dibb decides to stand back up. Dibb steps back and let's Stevenson get back to his feet.

Ibby Dibb comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Dibb has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
