The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cucumber shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hewitt sprawls well. Hewitt wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cucumber gets slowly back to his feet.
Hewitt listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Cucumber gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hewitt counters with a lovely shot to the body.
A shot to the body from Cucumber misses
and Hewitt counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Hewitt displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Cucumber.
Paul Hewitt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Larry Cucumber.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
