Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matthew De Barros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Meline (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think De Barros might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Purpose - John Williams FT trippyTB & Tay. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Barros tests Meline's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Meline bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

De Barros manages to get back to half guard.
Meline throws a strike but De Barros avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
De Barros is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
De Barros utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Meline keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of De Barros's head.
Meline stays in close to De Barros's body and controls the position.
Meline postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Meline connects with a couple of short punches.

Meline throws a big elbow that misses.
Meline is in close to De Barros's body, working some short punches and elbows.

De Barros is rocked!
De Barros definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Meline postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! De Barros covers up, he's hurt! Meline keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Meline and the ref steps in to end the fight! Meline can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
