Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Pauwels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Belliveau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pauwels comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Company. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Belliveau!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Topper Green and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belliveau takes one on the button.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pauwels wants to improve his position but Belliveau is controlling well.

Belliveau looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pauwels with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Belliveau with a poor takedown
and Pauwels counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Pauwels dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Belliveau tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pauwels sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Belliveau somewhat.
Pauwels cracks Belliveau with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Belliveau swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
It looked like Pauwels was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Belliveau.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Pauwels counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Belliveau out cold! What a finish! Pauwels is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
