Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rayder Garner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Tanner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tanner is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Garner.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Tanner really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Garner. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Garner seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Tanner for as long as he can get away with.
Garner has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Garner just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Garner is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Garner gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Garner gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Garner apologises and we restart here on the feet.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tanner has eaten all the pies!

Garner is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Tanner has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Garner is working away from the top position though.
Garner is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Tanner is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Garner scores with a couple of nice shots.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Garner keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Garner.

Garner seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Tanner is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Rayder Garner was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
