Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Motts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Tim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mark Motts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Tim Tim!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Motts clinches up against the ropes.
Tim is trying to maintain a safe position but Motts gets an underhook and turns Tim into the ropes.
Motts blocks a body shot from Tim.
Tim is looking to control Motts's arms but Motts gets an underhook and turns him. Now Tim has his back to the ropes.
Tim is trying to break free.
Motts misses with a body punch.
A battle for position here, against the ropes.

Motts wants the takedown. Tim is fighting it off but Motts persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tim's guard against the ropes.

Motts with a nice head shot there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Motts's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Motts trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Motts won't allow Tim to sweep him here.
Tim bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Motts's guard.

Motts has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Motts wants to control the position but Tim says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Motts wants to get back to full guard but Tim has mounted him!
Tim takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Motts is squirming around, avoiding Tim's attempts to control the action.
Tim avoids the attempt from Motts to control.
Motts might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Motts is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Motts manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Motts is looking to control Tim's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Motts avoid being mounted?
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Tim is trying to control the action in half guard but Motts is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Tim Tim will probably get the nod.
That's time! Motts's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Motts closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Tim's guard.

Motts wants to control from the top but Tim keeps moving.
Motts is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tim is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Tim wants to sweep here but Motts controlling him for the moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Motts shoots for a double leg takedown but Tim sprawls well. He's pushed Motts's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Motts tries to clinch up.
Motts backing away here, and Tim unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Tim uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Motts.
Tim appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Motts throws a body punch but Tim moves out of range.
A nice side step and Tim releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Tim Tim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Motts throws out a loose jab but Tim uses good head movement to avoid it.

Tim is looking for a sweep.
Motts throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
Motts lands a decent elbow from side control.
Motts cracks Tim with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Motts lands some shots froms side control.
Motts trying to control the action but Tim is working from the bottom.

Motts is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Tim has escaped the position, nice work there.
Tim struggling a bit here.

Motts working the ground and pound.
An elbow from Motts crashes against the mat.
You can see the frustration on Tim's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Motts throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Tim works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Motts thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Tim is pressing down on Motts's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Motts stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tim swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Motts slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Tim wants to stand up but Motts is controlling him.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Tim ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Motts moves away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Motts dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Motts drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Tim is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Motts has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Motts drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tim dives on top into guard.

Motts is trying to hold Tim in close to prevent damage but Tim has managed to pass into half guard.
Motts wants to improve his position but Tim is controlling well.

Tim is controlling the pace.

Tim is just content to waste time from the top position. Motts takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Mark Motts overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Tim postures up.

Tim might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Motts haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Motts wants to sweep here but Tim controlling him for the moment.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Motts not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Motts keeping moving, preventing Tim from controlling successfully.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Tim throws a right hand that Motts ducks under and follows up with a left that Motts also avoids with ease.
Motts swings for the body but Tim moves out of range.
Tim just misses with a punch to the body.
A little feinted left hand from Motts on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Motts has closed the distance and engaged Tim in a clinch.
Tim doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Motts wants the takedown. Tim is fighting it off but Motts persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tim's guard against the ropes.

Motts wants to control from the top but Tim keeps moving.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Motts connects with a couple of short punches.
Tim avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Motts clinches up with Tim and pushes him back against the ropes.

Motts tightens his grip and picks Tim up, before dumping him to the ground. Tim manages to land in guard.
Motts throws a strike but Tim rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Mark Motts showed his dominance in that final round.

After the fight, Mark Motts was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
