The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trott bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Paul's guard.

Paul dives in for a single leg takedown but Trott sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Paul closes the distance and clinches up with Trott, looking for a takedown. Paul pushes Trott against the cage but Trott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Paul takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Trott lands a big right hand that sends Paul crashing to the mat! Trott stays standing though and waves Paul back to his feet!

After the fight, Jeffery Trott was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
