Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cory Winfield!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winfield on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Smith misses with a right hand
and Winfield counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Winfield.
Smith works on Winfield's body with a couple of short punches.
Smith misses with some punches.
Winfield blocks an uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Smith.
Winfield's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith throws the left hand but Winfield avoids the punch easily.
Winfield has managed to clinch.
Smith tries to break free but Winfield pushes him back against the ropes.
Winfield breaks the clinch.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Smith swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Smith tries to work over Winfield's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Winfield's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily.
Winfield pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith looks to throw the jab but Winfield is out of range.
Smith misses with a series of wild punches.
Winfield steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Smith.
Winfield clinches with his opponent.
Smith wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Winfield's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Winfield swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Smith throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Smith wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Smith takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Winfield on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Winfield throws a lazy head kick
and Smith makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Smith loads up on a big right hand but Winfield slips the punch.
Winfield tries to clinch but Smith is having none of it.
Winfield feints and then cracks Smith's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Smith down.
Smith fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Winfield tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Smith manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Smith just misses with a punch to the body.
Smith scores with a nice head shot.
Smith connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Winfield is rocked!
Winfield throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Winfield is still on wobbly legs! Can Smith finish him?
Smith cracks Winfield with a perfect right hand that drops him to the mat! Winfield is sitting up but I can't see if he's OK from my position. The referee's count has reached 5,6,7 and Winfield is still not up. Can he make it? 8,9,10! He's out! Winfield could not beat the count!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Will Smith!
