Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Truman Mcknight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dusty Lesley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dusty Lesley will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Truman Mcknight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dusty Lesley!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Jorge Garcia and Columbo Gatti.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesley's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Lesley duly obliges.
Lesley stalks Mcknight and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Mcknight's face. Mcknight staggers backwards, shaken.
Lesley goes for a double leg but Mcknight avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Mcknight continues to drive forward.
Lesley shoots in and drives through. Mcknight sprawls well.
Lesley lands a jab to the nose.
Lesley throws a leg kick that is checked

so Mcknight counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mcknight drops back looking for a leg! Lesley is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lesley manages to kick Mcknight off! Mcknight jumps back into Lesley's guard.
Mcknight tries to stand but Lesley is controlling from the bottom.

Mcknight is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Lesley is trying to keep Mcknight in close.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mcknight scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Mcknight tries to stand but Lesley is controlling from the bottom.

Mcknight gets to his feet - Lesley follows without any prompting.
Horrible takedown attempt by Lesley or perhaps it was just good defense by Mcknight, which made it look bad.
Truman Mcknight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dusty Lesley.
A left and a right from Lesley both land. Nice combination.
Lesley shoots in for a takedown but Mcknight shows good takedown defense.

Mcknight moves in looking to clinch but Lesley pushes him off.
Lesley darts in looking for a takedown but Mcknight gets double underhooks and turns Lesley into the cage.

Mcknight tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Lesley jumps guard.
Mcknight postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Mcknight stands up from Lesley's guard - Mcknight perhaps looking for a knockout.
Mcknight stuffs the takedown.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Mcknight darts in and clinches Lesley up against the cage.
Mcknight tries to pull guard but Lesley won't allow it.
Lesley jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Mcknight walks away with a smile on his face. Lesley gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lesley tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcknight swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Lesley throws a nice looking combination but Mcknight bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lesley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mcknight pinned against the cage. Mcknight gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Dusty Lesley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lesley shoots and misses
letting Mcknight counter with a right hand.
Mcknight circles away from the clinch attempt
and Mcknight counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lesley throws a sloppy head kick and Mcknight moves out of range easily.
Lesley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Mcknight stands up from Lesley's guard - Mcknight perhaps looking for a knockout.
Lesley lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lesley throws a head kick but Mcknight moves out of range.

Mcknight gets the takedown into side control.
Mcknight gets to mount! Lesley was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Mcknight is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lesley to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lesley shrugs it off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Truman Mcknight dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Mcknight rushes Lesley and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Lesley has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Mcknight tries to pull guard but Lesley forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Lesley misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Mcknight.
Lesley is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Mcknight ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Mcknight no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Lesley missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Lesley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mcknight. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Mcknight manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lesley manages to get himself to full guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcknight thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Mcknight gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Lesley shoots and misses

and Mcknight counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Mcknight.
Lesley is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Mcknight pulls guard.
Mcknight wants to stand and escape but Lesley is having none of it.
Mcknight manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Lesley manages to get himself to full guard.

Lesley is looking to sweep but instead, Mcknight has passed into half guard.

Mcknight decides to stand up.

Lesley gets caught napping as Mcknight dives in and scores a takedown. Lesley manages to retain guard.
Mcknight would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Lesley keeping moving, preventing Mcknight from controlling successfully.

Mcknight working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Mcknight got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lesley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mcknight has managed to get both his arms back between Lesley's legs - danger averted.

Mcknight decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Lesley misses with a few strikes there.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mcknight stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mcknight wants it to stay on the feet.
Truman Mcknight has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dusty Lesley.
Mcknight swats away the attempt to clinch by Lesley.
Lesley pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Mcknight tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Lesley counters with a left to the body.

Lesley has taken the fight to the clinch.
Mcknight is trying to pull guard but Lesley has him pressed against the cage.

Lesley jumps into guard, dragging Mcknight to the mat.
Mcknight is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lesley can do to turn this around?
Mcknight is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lesley can do anything to dispel that myth.
Mcknight sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lesley's guard.
Mcknight looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Mcknight has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Truman Mcknight overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Mcknight maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Lesley could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Mcknight has cracked it and Lesley is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Mcknight!
