Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clifton Hale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sami Paukku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Felipe Paraventi and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Paukku fails with a takedown attempt.
Hale is looking to counter the offense by Paukku and move into the clinch.
Paukku shoots in for a takedown but Hale shows good takedown defense.
Paukku tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hale swivels and escapes.
Hale is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Paukku.

Hale throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Paukku's waist but Paukku gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hale off to one side.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

and Hale counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hale.
Hale tries to break the clinch but Paukku is controlling the position.
Paukku breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Paukku throws a sloppy head kick
and Hale counters with a takedown into side control.
Paukku is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Paukku takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Hale stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Hale manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Paukku on his heels. He'll look to pass Paukku's guard now, I'm sure.
Hale stands up over Paukku, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hale is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hale lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Hale has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Paukku fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hale, pushing him back against the cage.

Paukku tries to score a body lock takedown but Hale shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Paukku has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Hale uses from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Hale really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hale is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hale sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Paukku is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Paukku is breathing heavily.
Hale avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Paukku.

Sami Paukku showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Hale's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Hale is pressed up against the cage. Paukku has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hale down to the mat. Hale avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Hale lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Paukku circles away quickly and effectively.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Hale tries to control but Paukku wriggling away.
Hale swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Paukku is now in Hale's guard. A big mistake from Hale there, giving up the dominant position!
Clifton Hale overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hale looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Paukku has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hale is proving hard to escape from.
